4th Annual Blessings of Liberty Event

Constitutional scholar Dr. Thomas L. Krannawitter mesmerized the audience with “Tragedy & Triumph,” the riveting true story of the world’s greatest anti-slavery movement ever. In addition to the evening’s keynote, the National Anthem was sung by Kevin Lundberg, the opening prayer was giving by Jaime Rodriquez of Calvary Severance, Ascent Classical Academy led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, the Northern Colorado Student Collaboration Choir led us in an array of patriotic songs, the Weld County Commissioner U.S. Constitution Contest award winners were recognized, the Northern Colorado Colonials mixed and mingled throughout the evening, and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office presented and retired colors. To end the evening, Liberty Common School Headmaster Bob Schaffer had students on the edge of their seats as he delivered Patrick Henry’s famous “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech. The event was held at Severance High School auditorium.

3rd Annual Blessings of Liberty Event

Constitutional scholar Dr. Thomas L. Krannawitter presented “Rediscovering the Constitution: You’ll Fall in Love with Your Country All Over Again.” Ascent Classical Academy led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, Bekah Burley sang God Bless the USA, the Northern Colorado Student Collaboration Choir led us in an array of patriotic songs, awards were presented to the winners of the Weld County Commissioner U.S. Constitution Contest, Northern Colorado Colonials mixed and mingled, Rocky Mountain Young Marines presented and retired colors, and more. The event was held at Windsor High School auditorium.

2nd Annual Blessings of Liberty Event

This year’s Constitution Week included several events. The annual Blessings of Liberty event included keynote speaker Brian Ivers, U.S. Marine Corps (retired), narrations by the Northern Colorado Colonials and more. The event was held at Pelican Lakes Banquet Room.

Additionally, the following events appeared on the 2022 Schedule of Events:

  • Saturday, September 17: Veterans Plaza Heroes Golf Tournament at Pelican Lakes Golf Club

  • Sunday, September 18: Free Potluck Social Event, featuring presentations about the founding principles of our Constitution, at American Legion Forbes-McKay Post 109

  • Friday, September 23: Constitution Closing Event presented by Mailyn Salabarria, at Coffeehouse 29

1st Annual Blessings of Liberty Event

The Blessings of Liberty event included keynote speaker Ben Martin who covered the principles of the U.S. Constitution, Northern Colorado Colonials performed a re-enactment called “It’s 1787,” students from various schools performed, and winners of the Weld County Commissioners U.S. Constitution Contest received their awards. The event was held at Pelican Lakes Banquet Room.
